Distribution center project for Metro

Etalex contributed to the development to this huge distribution center project for our partner Metro and also provided the pallet racks. This new distribution center of more than 600,000 square feet combines the distribution centers for meat and frozen products with those of seafood, into a single site. The administrative offices will welcome more than 500 employees, while the distribution center itself will have more than 250.

The use of our structural and conventional industrial pallet racks was well optimized in this unique project. Galvanized beams and uprights were manufactured specifically for the refrigerated parts. Our H wire mesh decking as well as our pallet rack dividers complete the storage structures.

The challenge was to design several custom-made products and solutions to meet the specific needs of this superb project which opened in November 2023, after nearly 3 years of planning and collaboration between the Metro and Etalex teams.
